Downtown Lexington Partnership, a partnership group representing Downtown Lexington Corporation (DLC) and Downtown Lexington Management District (DLMD) has named Craig Turner, a lead developer at CRM Development, to its board effective from June 2022. By this appointment, Craig will be serving on the partnership board of directors for the 2022 business year.
Craig brings to the board over 35 years of experience and amazing accomplishments cutting across private and public sectors in project development and management. He has previously served as Director of Industrial Development for two Kentucky governors where he championed many initiatives to facilitate effective management of public facilities and property.
Recently, Craig coordinated the $185 million P3 projects for the Commonwealth of Kentucky where he was commended for entrenching a standard that ensured effective management of all aspects of the projects to the client’s satisfaction. During his time with the Commonwealth, Craig helped to lead massive economic growth resulting in the creation of about 22,000 new jobs and over $1,230,000,000 capital investment in Kentucky.
Since entering the private sector in 1987, Craig has established himself as a go-to expert in the facilities and property management industry. In 1997, he founded CRM Companies, a Lexington, KY-based commercial real estate management company serving businesses across several industries, such as hotel, restaurant, telecommunication, and automotive companies.
Over the last decade, CRM Companies has developed over 1 million square feet of A-list office space for notable organizations such as Bell South Mobility (AT&T), SmithKline Beecham, Commonwealth of Kentucky, and more.
